Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has written a letter to the Adamawa State Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Bishop Steven Dami Mamza, demanding retraction of what it described as “false and more malicious” publication against its Executive Secretary, Rev Yakubu Pam.

The letter signed by the Commission’s Legal Officer, J Odeh Obule, was in connection with the corruption allegations raised by Dami against Pam, accusing him of irregularities, embezzlement, and misappropriation of funds.

The CAN chairman had also called on EFCC to investigate NCPC under Pam’s watch.

NCPC denied all allegations raised by Bishop Mamza that the commission was adequately paid by the Adamawa State Government to facilitate the performance of the Christian Pilgrimage to Rome in 2021 by its intending Pilgrims.

” These weighty but false allegations were contained in a press conference held by you (Dami) on 1st December, given wide publicity in the print and electronic media, including Channels Television, TVC News, Gotel, and National newspapers.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the commission states categorically that it never solicited nor collected money whatsoever from Adamawa State Government for the same pilgrimage exercise. It’s pertinent therefore to put the record straight to clear the false impression created in the public by your unfounded allegations,” the NCPC letter read.

Details of all information are contained in the letter made available to The General News (TGnews). The copies can be read below:
