Nigeria to receive 176000 Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine doses Wednesday

Nigeria will on Wednesday, August 11, receive 176,000 doses of the Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccines.

The Johnson and Johnson vaccine is a single-shot vaccine.

The Executive Director, National Primary Health Care Development Agency, Faisal Shuaib, revealed this during a news conference in Abuja on Tuesday.

According to him, Johnson and Johnson vaccine, like the AstraZeneca is safe and efficient against coronavirus disease, including the deadlier Delta Variant.

Shuaib, meanwhile, refuted reports alleging that the delay in the start of the second batch of the COVID-19 inoculation exercise was due to cases of propriety.
