Nigerian Idol Season 6 is slated to start this Sunday. The popular singing competition show will be aired by 6:oopm on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 29.
According to Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, Africa Magic’s Channel Director, the show will open with clips of the most entertaining moments from the auditions that took place late last year.
Nigerian Idol is a platform that provides an opportunity for young and talented Nigerians in order to achieve their dreams in music on the local and global stage.
Mba-Uzoukwu said that over 3,600 young Nigerians auditioned to be on the show this season.
The show will be hosted by IK Osakioduwa and talented singer Seyi Shay, while Obi Asika and DJ Sose will be the judges.
The winner of this season’s show will leave with a recording contract deal with a leading record label and N50 million prize.
