Nigerians opt for Virtual Private Networks as FG suspends Twitter

Nigerians have opted for the use of Virtual Private Networks to circumvent Federal Government’s suspension of Twitter.

On Friday, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, announced the suspension of the social media platform’s operation in Nigeria.

The minister said FG took the action due to the persistent use of the platform for activities capable of undermining Nigeria’s corporate existence.

Many Nigerians have expressed dissatisfaction with the development, highlighting the benefits of the microblogging site.
