NIPR Bags Global PR Award, Tinubu Cheers Historic Win

The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) has emerged Global Public Relations Association of the Year at the 2025 World Public Relations and Communication Awards, cementing Nigeria’s stature in the international communications arena.

The award was announced on Thursday, February 19, 2026, in Lisbon, Portugal, after a competitive evaluation involving 89 entries from 19 countries, highlighting NIPR’s professional excellence, ethical leadership, and strategic impact.

Reacting to the milestone, NIPR’s Acting President, Professor Emmanuel Dandaura, said the recognition celebrates the institute’s commitment to professional regulation, ethical advocacy, and capacity building in public relations, both nationally and internationally.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu officially commended the achievement on Friday, February 20, 2026, calling it a “proud moment for Nigeria” and praising NIPR’s leadership and members for elevating the country’s reputation through exemplary professionalism.

He emphasized that the global recognition reinforces Nigeria’s soft power and strengthens the nation’s efforts to project a positive image worldwide.

The award will be formally presented at the Global Alliance World Public Relations Forum 2026, scheduled to hold in Abuja from Sunday, November 15, to Saturday, November 21, 2026.
