…vows to extend crusade to Ogun, serves notice to herders

Popular Yoruba activist, Sunday Adeyemo, aka Sunday Igboho, says there is no going back in his struggle to dislodge criminal herders from Ibarapaland in Oyo State and the entire Yorubaland.
Forty-seven-year-old Igboho vowed, in a recent viral video, to evict all criminal herdsmen from Ibarapa and the entire Yorubaland, saying he’s fighting the cause of his hapless and defenceless people, and there will be no going back.
He said he would soon take the crusade to Ogun State, saying he has had enough of a situation where criminal Fulani herdsmen hold sway over the indigenous people of Yorubaland on their land.
According to Igboho, “What many people don’t know about this issue is that it was God who wanted to liberate Ibarapa people from the captivity of herdsmen. That was why I went there.
“The suffering the people of Ibarapa were experiencing was brought to the fore by the death of Dr. Aborode. His death exposed a lot of things going on in that area. Many people have been killed and kidnapped there. We, however, thank God that normalcy has been restored.
“By the grace of God, we will flush out criminal herders in Ogun State, too. All criminal herdsmen in the state should get prepared, I am coming.”
Speaking further, the activist who accused some politicians and their cohorts of trying to discourage and frustrate his genuine intentions and efforts added, “I am not interested in receiving bribe from anybody. I don’t have children in Nigeria that herdsmen can kidnap, and no herdsmen can stop me from flushing out criminals.
“Enough is enough. I am bent on embarking on this struggle. I’m fighting this cause. There is no going back.”
Igboho further cautioned politicians not to sabotage his quest to eliminate criminal herders from Yoruba land.
