The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has declared that anyone threatening Nigeria’s peace and stability will be hunted down.
Speaking during the Nigerian Air Force’s Second Quarter Route March on Wednesday, June 4, in Abuja, Abubakar said the NAF remains fully committed to securing the nation’s airspace and protecting lives across the country.
“To the enemies of our nation, know this: there will be no hiding place for those who threaten the peace and stability of Nigeria,” he said. “We are coming for you. We will find you and take you out.”
He assured NAF personnel that the defence of all Nigerians remains the force’s top priority.
“We will continue to defend every inch of our nation’s airspace and stand firm in joint operations to protect lives and property across the country,” Abubakar stated.

He expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for what he called steadfast support to the Armed Forces, especially regarding operational effectiveness and welfare. He reaffirmed the Air Force’s loyalty to the President.
Abubakar also underscored the importance of physical readiness, stating that fitness is now a requirement for career progression.
“As a matter of policy, I have directed that all Performance Evaluation Reports must be accompanied with a Physical Fitness Test Certificates,” he said. “Furthermore, no personnel will be considered for promotion without being medically and physically fit.”
Drawing a parallel between the route march and the NAF’s broader mission, Abubakar called on officers to stay disciplined and resilient.
“Let today’s route march be a reminder of who we are and what we stand for. Let it rekindle our fighting spirit and reinforce our shared commitment to the defence of Nigeria,” he added.
“We are not just marching on roads, we are marching towards purpose, honour, and victory.”
