Nollywood Actor Hospitalised After Alleged Assault by Zubby Micheal on Set

Nollywood actor, Godwin Nnadiekwe, has landed in the hospital with internal bleeding after an on-set altercation he claims was never part of the scripted performance.

In a post shared on Instagram on Saturday, Nnadiekwe recounted how he was violently kicked in the chest by a colleague during filming.

Though he initially refrained from mentioning names, a behind-the-scenes clip uploaded by the actor has since gone viral, clearly showing Zubby Micheal storming out of a vehicle, jumping over a barricade, and delivering a forceful kick to Nnadiekwe before walking into a building.

According to Nnadiekwe, the impact of the kick left him in severe pain, forcing him to seek medical attention without any assistance from the production crew.

“During a scene, I received a kick to the chest from my colleague that wasn’t part of the script or directed by the director. It caused me serious pains… I did all these by myself. No assistance!” he wrote.

Expressing concern over the growing disregard for safety on movie sets, Nnadiekwe called on filmmakers to ensure that all physical actions are choreographed and supervised.

He stressed the dangers of working without proper insurance or medical safety nets in place.

“What if something more serious had happened?” he questioned.

Shortly after his post, Nnadiekwe’s management issued an official statement confirming that the actor’s condition had deteriorated.

He was rushed to a hospital and is now undergoing treatment for internal bleeding. The statement directly identified Zubby Micheal as the actor involved in the incident.

The incident has sparked widespread concern within the Nollywood community, with fans and colleagues calling for greater accountability and improved safety standards on set.

As of the time of this report, Zubby Micheal is yet to publicly respond to the allegations.
