The Nollywood industry has been thrown into mourning following the sudden passing of actress Pat Ugwu at the age of 35.
The heartbreaking news was shared by her colleague, Emeka Okoye, via an Instagram post on Wednesday.
Alongside his emotional tribute, he posted a funeral poster detailing the final arrangements for her farewell.
“Rest in peace sis. Pat Ugwu. @patpat_ugwu so we no get to work again? Death whyooo? God please. Rest in peace PAT. May your soul rest in the bosom of the Lord,” he wrote.
Okoye also expressed concern over the rising number of deaths in the industry, calling for divine protection.
“God please protect all my colleagues, especially those am close to. This unusual death is frightening. I proclaim life to everyone close to me this 2025 in the precious blood of Jesus. Amen.”
According to the funeral arrangements, Pat Ugwu’s burial will take place on February 7, 2025, following a wake-keeping on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
Pat Ugwu was known for her roles in various Nollywood productions, earning recognition for her talent and contributions to the industry. Her untimely death has left fans and colleagues in deep sorrow.
