James Omokwe, the producer of ‘Riona’ has implored people in the Nollywood industry to upgrade their crafts so that more trained professionals can be used in the industry.
Omokwe shared this via his Twitter handle
He wrote, “Now I know that we need a lot of training in the film and TV field. We need more ‘trained’ Head writers, show runners, producers, writers, Production designers…..the list is long.
“If you learnt any of these things on your own, great but you need to sharpen your skills with some training. Pay for an online course or find those that already are experts in that field, Understudy then get some experience.”
The filmmaker’s latest production, ‘Riona’, is an epic television series that has received critical acclaim since its beginning in 2020.
Omokwe is also the producer of ‘Ajoche’ which was the hit series on African Magic in 2018.
He is a very talented writer, film-maker and producer.
