Nollywood Star Omotola Urges Bold, Selfless Leadership Ahead Of 2027 Elections

Nollywood icon Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has called for courageous and selfless leadership in Nigeria, urging public officials to prioritise the country’s welfare above personal gain ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In an interview on Channels Television on Sunday, February 8, 2026, Omotola expressed concern over Nigeria’s slow progress despite its abundant human and natural resources.

She said meaningful change would require leaders willing to make bold decisions and, if necessary, personal sacrifices for the nation’s development.

“No country is immune to disorder. Stability depends on accountability, the rule of law, and responsible leadership,” she said, citing the United States as an example of a nation that could face chaos without proper governance and enforcement.
