Òṣogbo is set to burst into colour and celebration as residents and visitors take to the streets in dazzling Àdìrẹ attire for the Àdìrẹ Ọ̀sun Carnival 2025.

Festivities begin on Friday, December 19, with the Àdìrẹ Export Summit, which brings together artisans, designers, government officials, and international buyers.

The summit highlights the global appeal of Àdìrẹ fabrics while promoting local creative industries and entrepreneurial opportunities.

On Saturday, December 20, the Àdìrẹ Ọ̀sun Street Carnival and Àdìrẹ Ọ̀sun Concert take centre stage.

Participants will parade through city streets in colourful ensembles, accompanied by traditional music, dance, and artistic displays of textile craftsmanship.

The day culminates in a lively concert featuring top Nigerian musicians, fusing contemporary rhythms with cultural heritage.

Created through intricate resist-dyeing techniques, Àdìrẹ is more than a textile, it is a symbol of Yoruba identity and a growing driver of economic and cultural tourism.
