Classmates of the embattled Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, have confirmed that the lawmaker graduated from the Nigerian Law School, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The ex-classmates of the Lagos Assembly Speaker said this when they paid him a solidarity visit in his office at Alausa, Ikeja.
They added that apart from standing by him, it was an opportunity for them to set the ,records straight when necessary.
It was learnt that one of the leading news media had reported that Obasa did not graduate from the Nigerian Law School.
The lawyers lamented the damage fake and unverified news have done to Nigerians.
The former classmates, however, presented the Speaker copies of Nigerian Law School Yearbook – 2008-2009 which contains names and pictures of members of that year’s set, including that of the Speaker, which was on page 214.
The speaker thanked the lawyers for their visit and told them he was unperturbed by the fake stories.
