The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, on Saturday, defeated the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, at the Abeokuta polling unit of former President Olusegun Obasanjo in the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
Obasanjo voted at ward 11, unit 22, Olusomi compound, Totoro/Sokori, Abeokuta-North in Ogun State.
At the former president’s PU, while APC polled 56 votes, the Peoples Democratic Party had seven votes, the African Democratic Congress scored eight votes, Accord Party had 1 vote, and the Labour Party scored nine votes.
The Presiding Officer said 91 out of 693 accredited voters cast their ballots in the polling unit.
Ten of the votes were voided.
The LP presidential flagbearer, Obi is ex-President Obasanjo’s favourite as he (Obasanjo) endorsed his candidacy in a New Year letter to Nigerians.
