The Ogun State Amotekun Corps has fixed Sunday, the 6th of July, as the start date for the training of newly recruited candidates.
This was made known by the Corps Commander, Brig. Gen. (rtd) Alade Adedigba, in a statement shared on the 2nd of July, 2025.
The training exercise will run from Sunday, the 6th of July, to Friday, the 18th of July, 2025, at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Sagamu. Each day’s session is expected to begin by 8:00 a.m.
Adedigba said the training is aimed at equipping the recruits with essential knowledge and practical skills to help them function effectively in their new roles.
The statement reads: “The Ogun State Security Network Agency, Amotekun Corps, announces the commencement of training for candidates who have successfully passed the recent recruitment process, as part of its commitment to strengthening operational capacity and ensuring effective maintenance of law and order within the state.”
He added that shortlisted candidates must arrive on time and prepare for a seamless onboarding process.

“Shortlisted candidates, who are expected to report for the training exercise scheduled to commence from Sunday, 6th to Friday, 18th July 2025, at the NYSC Orientation Camp, Sagamu, by 8:00 a.m., are encouraged to adequately prepare for this essential training, arriving on time to facilitate a smooth induction process.”
Each candidate is required to come with one bucket, one broom, one cutlass, two white round-neck T-shirts, two white shorts or knickers, two pairs of white tennis sneakers, two pairs of white socks, and two white bedsheets.
They must also bring writing materials including jotters, pens, pencils, sharpeners, and erasers. In addition, each person should have two files containing passport photographs, original and photocopies of credentials, their Bank Verification Number (BVN), and National Identification Number (NIN).
Adedigba congratulated the successful applicants and urged them to follow all camp rules and cooperate fully with officials to ensure the success of the training.
