Veteran Nollywood actor and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has dismissed speculations of a rift with the 2027 Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, stressing that his loyalty lies with whoever emerges from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) primary.
Speaking on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television programme, on Friday, September 12, Okonkwo said he had no personal issue with Obi despite their political differences.
“Whoever wins the election of ADC in the presidential primary, I will support. I don’t have any personal problem with my brother Peter Obi,” he stated.

The actor-turned-politician further explained that his relationship with Obi was rooted in their time together in the Labour Party.
“Like I have told you, I met Peter Obi in Labour Party. So if the Labour Party that was the foundation of our relationship is no longer there, going forth will be a new arrangement and you have the right to decide what to do going forth,” he added.
