Iconic actress, Funke Akindele-Bello’s Omo Ghetto (The Saga), has emerged Nollywood’s highest-grossing movie of all time.
The comedy movie by Akindele-Bello, popularly known as Jenifa, broke a record of four years formally held by Kemi Adetiba’s ‘The Wedding Party.’
According to Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria, the 2020 comedy film has so far grossed N468,036,300.
‘Omo Ghetto’ has officially broken a four year record by knocking off Kemi Adetiba’s 2016 comedy, ‘The Wedding Party’. The movie has been Nollywood highest grossing movie N453,000,000.In the third place is ‘The Wedding Party 2’ with N433,197,377.
Omo Ghetto (The Saga) is the continuation of Omo ghetto that was produced 10 years ago. Omo Ghetto (The saga) was released in cinema on the 25th of December 2019, and ever since, it has been watched by a lot of people. It was also shown in some selected Novo cinemas in Dubai from 21st of January 2021.
