Victor Osimhen continued his impressive goal-scoring form in Turkey, netting his 17th league goal of the season as Galatasaray secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory.
The Nigerian striker’s latest goal moves him to second place on the Süper Lig top scorers’ chart, despite playing fewer matches than his rivals.
Galatasaray found themselves trailing early in the first half after Vilhena T. put the visitors ahead in the 23rd minute.
Their troubles worsened just before halftime when Gunvenci G. received a red card, leaving them with 10 men for the remainder of the match.

The second half, however, saw Galatasaray fight back. Aliti F. turned the ball into his own net in the 51st minute, leveling the score.
Eleven minutes later, Osimhen delivered the winning goal in the 62nd minute, securing a much-needed victory for Galatasaray, who had failed to win in their last four matches across all competitions.
With his goal-scoring prowess, Osimhen is now in contention for the league’s Golden Boot, proving to be a key figure for Galatasaray as they push forward in the season.
