The All Progressives Congress deputy governorship candidate in the Osun State governorship election, Kayode Adereti, has commended voters for the impressive turnout recorded across the state on Saturday.
Adereti, who also praised the security arrangements for the election, said the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System was functioning effectively at his polling unit.
He spoke shortly after voting at Ward 11, Unit 3, Ilare, in Ife Central Local Government Area of the state.
According to the APC candidate, the exercise had remained peaceful, with a large number of residents coming out to participate in the election.

He said he was particularly satisfied with the operation of the BVAS, adding that the accreditation process was proceeding without major difficulty and that voters appeared pleased with the process.
“The turnout is impressive and the security is perfect. The BVAS is working well, and everyone is happy here.
“I urge the people of Osun State to come out and vote. We are ready, and the people are ready to make Osun a better place,” he said.
Adereti also called on voters to maintain peace and order as voting continues, while urging political parties and their supporters to abide by the electoral rules and allow voters to freely determine who becomes the next governor of the state.
