Oyo State Independent Electoral Commission has fixed Saturday, May 15, 2021 for the conduct of election in all 33 local government area of the state.
This was contained in a notice and timetable of 2021 for elections into thirty-three local government councils in Oyo state and made available to the newsmen in Ibadan on Monday.
The statement reads, “Publication of notice of election, release of election timetable and guidelines are scheduled for Monday, 15th February, 2012, commencement of political activities, commencement and end of campaign by political parties will hold between, Monday, 22ND February and Wednesday, 10th march 2021.
“The conduct of Party primaries by political parties and observation of primaries by the Commission, display of Voters’ register and Collection of Personal data forms by political parties will hold between 12th March and 19th March 2021 while submission of personal data forms by political parties, verification/screening of chairmanship candidates, delivery of list qualified candidates and appeals/substitution of un-cleared candidates will hold between 7th April 2021 and 11th April 2021.
” The screening of substituted candidates, collection of nomination forms, and submission of nomination forms and publication of names of qualified candidates will hold between Wednesday, 7th April and Thursday, 6th May, 2012.
“The Electioneering will end on 14th Friday while the election will hold on Saturday, 15th May, 2021”
