The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged that its suspended National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, alongside a suspected thug leader, Emmanuel Okoronkwo, led a violent break-in at the party’s National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, in Abuja.
The party made the allegation in a post on its official X handle on Thursday, November 6, claiming that closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage captured Anyanwu and Okoronkwo “orchestrating a brazen invasion” of the secretariat.
According to the statement, the footage, which has been widely circulated online under the hashtag #WadataInvasion, shows Anyanwu dressed in a white caftan and Okoronkwo in a grey jacket and face cap, leading “a gang of hooded men” into key administrative offices.

PDP alleged that the group was seen “smashing locks and breaking doors” during the incursion, which it said was intended to disrupt preparations for its upcoming national convention.
Security sources cited in the post were said to have confirmed that the break-in was “a deliberate attempt to sow chaos and derail the party’s unity efforts.”
As of press time, neither Senator Anyanwu nor his aides had responded to the allegations.
However, the footage has stirred significant reaction on social media, deepening the ongoing leadership tussle within the opposition party.
