Former Ekiti State governor, Segun Oni said the Peoples Democratic Party was ready to save Nigerians from the difficulties they have been subjected to by the All Progressives Congress in recent years.
He spoke following a successful convention of the party that was held over the weekend describing the new National Working Committee (NWC) as a team of progress.
He assured that the party would help Nigerians “rise like a phoenix from hopelessness, poverty and insecurity”.
“We have learnt from the errors of the past, and we are poised to unleash the limitless potential of our nation”, he said.
Oni also saluted the leaders, governors, legislators and party faithful of the party, especially on the manner in which the convention was conducted.
He equally welcomed the new chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu, and other executives of the party, expressing confidence in them.
