Edo State Deputy Governor, Phillip Shaibu; immediate past Minister of Sports, Sunday Dare, late Jerry Okorodudu, Yemi Idowu, President, Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), Eng Abu Gumel, Chairman/CEO ADRON Homes Aare Adetola Emmanuel, Wife of former Governor Benue State, Dr Eunice Erdoo Ortom were among dignities awarded by the Nigeria Olympians Association for their contributions to the development of sports in Nigeria.
Some Olympians also awarded include; Fransome Adeyanju, Yusuf Ali, Segun Toriola, Funke Oshonaike, Henry Amike, Lawrence Adegbeinde, Samson Oyeledun, Falilat Ogunkoya, Christy Okpara and Jerry Okorodudu.
Others are; Muyiwa Oshode, Ganiyu Salami, Durojaiye Adigun, Kenneth Olayombo, Emilia Edet and Ogenejobo Peters.
The Nigeria Olympians Association (NOA) Summits and Awards was held last week Thursday at the Musa Yar Adua Centre Abuja .
Some outstanding individuals and Olympians was also honoured with prestigious award.
Oba Elegushi was the Royal father of the day.
