As Rivers State navigates ongoing political challenges, the Muslim community has expressed strong support for Governor Siminalayi Fubara, commending his inclusive leadership and commitment to unity.

Alhaji Uhor, a key Muslim leader in the state, highlighted Fubara’s recognition of the Islamic faith as a significant departure from the previous administration, which had declared Rivers a 100% Christian state.

The Muslim leader stated during a gathering in solidarity with Fubara, prayers were offered for the governor, his family, Rivers State, and Nigeria at large.

Uhor acknowledged the current political difficulties and encouraged Governor Fubara to remain steadfast, reminding him that, in Islamic teachings, trials of leadership and power are tests of character and resilience.

He further urged President Bola Tinubu to reassess the emergency rule in Rivers State and restore Fubara’s full authority.

Uhor argued that despite the crisis, the governor has continued to perform effectively, demonstrating his dedication to governance and the welfare of the state’s residents.

The event underscored the community’s firm stance in support of his leadership and its call for a more stable and inclusive governance framework.
