PHOTOS: Indian’s PM Modi Visits Air India Crash Site, Mourns Victims

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has mourned victims of a tragic Air India crash which claimed more than 200 lives making it the country’s worst civil aviation disaster in almost three decades.

Modi visited the site of the crash site in Ahmedabad on Thursday, describing the incident as “saddening” and offering heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.

In a post on his X handle, on Friday, Modi, stated that he met with emergency responders and officials leading recovery and support efforts in the aftermath of the accident.

He further commended their tireless work under challenging conditions.

Modi’s post read, “Visited the crash site in Ahmedabad today. The scene of devastation is saddening. Met officials and teams working tirelessly in the aftermath. Our thoughts remain with those who lost their loved ones in this unimaginable tragedy.

“We are all devastated by the air tragedy in Ahmedabad. The loss of so many lives in such a sudden and heartbreaking manner is beyond words. Condolences to all the bereaved families.

“We understand their pain and also know that the void left behind will be felt for years to come. Om Shanti.”
