Officials from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully intercepted a shipment of candy meant for children, which was laced with a potent strain of cannabis.
This illegal product was intended to be sold at a children’s store in Lagos.
The agency’s Public Relations Officer, Femi Babafemi, disclosed this in a post shared on his X handle on Sunday.
According to Babafemi, the importer disguised the illegal product as regular sweets.
Babafemi advised parents to be mindful of the snacks their children take to school and bring home.
