Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 election Peter Obi, has met with former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, at the latter’s office in Abuja.
Malami, who held the AGF position from 2015 to 2023, hosted Obi in what appears to be part of broader political consultations.
This was made known in a statement by former presidential candidate NCP, Yunusa Tanko, and shared on his X handle Wednesday night.
Tanko described the meeting as part of ongoing efforts to build alliances and rally support for Obi’s vision.

Tanko’s post read, “Today, the 25th of June 2025, the Obidient Movement has attracted another senior member into the Obidient Movement.
“His Excellency Peter Obi was at the office of Hon Abubakar Malami SAN, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice (2015 -2023).
“This is in his continuation of bridge building and emancipating the Nigerian people from Hunger and Disdain.”
