Tragedy struck in the vast desert region between Agadez and Dirkou in northern Niger, where the bodies of three men were discovered on Monday, believed to have died of thirst.
The grim discovery was made around 4:00 p.m., approximately 23 kilometers from the Achigour well, by a traveler passing through the remote area.
A video that has been circulating on social media on Tuesday, and was seen by First Daily Correspondent shows that the bodies have been lying in the desert for two to three days before they were found.
Only one of the deceased carried identification, revealing him to be a Nigerien national.

The identities of the other two deceased men remain unknown, as no documents were found on them.
The Nigerien authorities have yet to confirm the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
The incident highlights the extreme dangers faced by migrants and travelers in the harsh Sahara region.
