Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have arrested suspected Boko Haram collaborators and neutralised insurgents in a series of coordinated operations across Adamawa and Borno states.
This was made known in a statement by the Media Information Officer, Headquarters Joint Task Force, Lt. Sani Uba, and shared on the Nigerian Army’s Facebook page on Friday.
The Joint Task Force (North East), working in collaboration with local vigilantes and hunters, carried out the operations as part of sustained efforts to dismantle terrorist supply networks and restore stability in the region.
In Adamawa State, troops of Sector 4 under the 28 Task Force Brigade apprehended 28-year-old Ismail Muhammed in the Visik General area of Hong Local Government Area. Muhammed is alleged to be a logistics supplier for Boko Haram elements operating in the area.
Items recovered from the suspect include one AK-47 magazine, rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, military accoutrements and assorted foodstuffs.
He is currently in military custody and undergoing further investigation.
In a separate operation in Madagali Local Government Area, also in Adamawa, Sector 4 troops neutralised a suspected terrorist commander identified as Abdullahi Mafa during an ambush along the Visik River line, an AK-47 rifle and a loaded magazine were recovered from the scene.
Acting on follow-up intelligence, troops arrested 64-year-old Dauda Usman Gubula at Madagali Motor Park. He is alleged to be a Boko Haram collaborator and drone supplier who procured aerial drones later modified and weaponised for use against troops.
Security forces recovered two aerial drones, drone accessories and 20 solar power banks from the suspect.

The statement said investigations are ongoing to uncover the extent of the supply network and identify other collaborators.
Meanwhile, in Borno State, troops of Sector 2 under Operation HADIN KAI, in conjunction with local vigilantes and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), repelled insurgent activity in Ngamdu.
During the engagement, a suspected terrorist informant attempting to breach defensive positions was neutralised, while logistics items were also recovered.
The Military said the ongoing operations form part of a broader strategy to disrupt insurgent logistics, cut off supply chains and enhance the protection of communities across Nigeria’s North-East.
The Military High Command commended the troops for their resilience and dedication, urging them to sustain the operational tempo in the fight against terrorism in the region.
