The Islamic State West Africa Province, ISWAP, reportedly attacked the ‘Garahamojili’ camp of the Nigerian Army in Adamawa State, killing two soldiers during a 20-minute firefight.
This was disclosed in an X post by a Sahel security analyst, identified as Brant Philip on Monday.
According to the post, the insurgents overran the camp, set it ablaze and destroyed three military vehicles.
They also allegedly carted away weapons and ammunition during the assault.

ISWAP allegedly claimed responsibility for the assault, describing it as part of its newly launched “Burn the Camps” offensive, a campaign believed to be aimed at targeting and dismantling military installations across the region.
The attack underscores ongoing security challenges in Nigeria’s northeast, where insurgent groups continue to mount assaults on security forces and civilian communities.
