Poland staged a late comeback on Wednesday to force a 2-2 draw against Nigeria in an international friendly played at the PGE Narodowy in Warsaw.
The Super Eagles looked set to secure a hard-fought victory until Przemysław Wiśniewski struck in the dying moments of the encounter to rescue a point for the hosts with virtually the last kick of the game.
Nigeria had drawn first blood in the 23rd minute when Terem Moffi delivered a right-footed assist that set up the opener, giving the three-time African champions an early advantage.
However, the Polish side responded just before half-time through Kacper Potulski, ensuring both teams went into the break level.
The Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle made several changes at the start of the second half in a bid to inject fresh energy into the squad.
Philip Otele came on for Akor Adams, while Semi Ajayi replaced Emmanuel Fernandez. Bruno Onyemaechi was introduced for Zaidu Sanusi, Paul Onuachu replaced Moffi, and Calvin Bassey took the place of Igoh Ogbu in defence.
Nigeria eventually regained control of the game and restored their lead when Onuachu converted from the penalty spot to make it 2-1.

The West Africans appeared on course for victory until deep into stoppage time when Wiśniewski fired home in the 95th minute to level matters and silence the visiting bench.
The result denied Nigeria a repeat of their 2018 friendly win over Poland, when Victor Moses scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory ahead of the World Cup.
Following the draw, the Super Eagles will now shift attention to their next international friendly against Portugal on June 10.
Although Nigeria will not feature at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the team continues to use the ongoing friendlies to assess new players and refine tactical approaches ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
