The Nigeria Police Force recorded a series of operational successes across several states, leading to the arrest of homicide and human trafficking suspects as well as the rescue of six kidnap victims during coordinated security operations.
According to the Force’s state-by-state operational summary released on Tuesday, police operatives made significant breakthroughs in Jigawa, Gombe, Nasarawa, Ogun, Katsina and Enugu states through intelligence-led investigations and tactical operations.
In Jigawa State, six suspects were arrested in connection with a violent attack that claimed a life. The suspects are currently being investigated by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Dutse.
Similarly, in Gombe State, detectives apprehended a suspect linked to an ongoing homicide investigation, with the SCID in Gombe continuing efforts to unravel the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police also recorded multiple arrests in Nasarawa State, where operatives captured a wanted suspect connected to an earlier recovery of a locally made pistol and other exhibits. In a separate development, three hotel employees were detained for questioning over their alleged connection to a suspected homicide. Investigations are being handled by the SCID in Lafia.

In Ogun State, detectives arrested a suspect allegedly involved in a human trafficking and fraudulent migration syndicate. Police said efforts are ongoing to track down other members of the network who remain at large.
The report also highlighted progress in the fight against kidnapping and banditry. In Katsina State, four kidnapped victims were rescued during anti-banditry operations. Security personnel have continued clearance operations in a bid to free other victims believed to be in captivity.
Meanwhile, in Enugu State, a joint security team rescued two kidnapped victims during a forest operation. The victims received medical attention before being reunited with their families, while security operatives have intensified the manhunt for the fleeing kidnappers.
The Nigeria Police Force said investigations into the various cases are ongoing as efforts continue to apprehend other suspects and strengthen security across the affected states.
