The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi, condemned the resort to jungle justice, warning residents against taking the law into their own hands.
Sanusi said mob action could obstruct the course of justice and result in the death of an innocent person, stressing that jungle justice is a criminal act punishable under the law.
The Command also urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant and pay close attention to the safety and wellbeing of their children and wards.
Residents were advised to report suspicious persons or activities to the nearest police station or contact the FCT Police Command on 08028940883 or 08032003913.
