The state police command had at the weekend stated that the suspect’s re-arrest was made possible by the combined efforts of the command and deployed crack detectives from the Force Headquarters, Abuja.
But a group of Soludero Hunters claimed to have led police operatives of the Oyo State Police command to the hideout of the suspected criminal.
Speaking with newsmen, the head of Soludero Hunters, Nurein Ajijolanabai, revealed the hunters group played a significant role in the re -arrest of Shodipe.
According to him, his boys led a team of policemen to the residence of the suspect’s grandmother in the Bodija area of Ibadan, where he was rearrested.
He said even though he and other hunters were indifferent to the N500,000 bounty placed on the suspect, they won’t reject it, adding that they were doing the job because of their desire to rid the state of criminals.
