President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been conferred with a chieftaincy title by the traditional rulers of Anambra State during his visit to Awka, the state capital.
The Presidency has clarified that the visit, which involved several project commissioning, was not just about the development initiatives but also included this significant cultural honor.
Bayo Onanuga, the media aide to President Tinubu, shared this news along with photos of the president receiving the prestigious title on his X handle (Formally Twitter.)
According to Onanuga, the traditional leaders in Anambra State bestowed the title on President Tinubu in recognition of his tremendous contributions to the development and unity of Nigeria.

The title, Dikesimba (which roughly translates to “Warrior of the People”), was presented by Igwe Chidubem Iweka, the ruler of Obosi and the Chairman of the Anambra State Traditional Rulers Council.
The honor highlights the president’s role in fostering national progress and unity through his leadership.
