PRP Denies Kwankwaso Bought 69 Forms To Control Party Structure

The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has dismissed claims that former Kano State Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso purchased 69 nomination forms in an alleged attempt to take over the party ahead of the 2027 elections.

The allegation was made by Abdulkadir Musa Giza, who identified himself as chairman of the PRP North-West Stakeholders Forum, claiming Kwankwaso had assumed control of the party structure.

However, the PRP secretary, Alhaji Musa Maigari, refuted the claims on Monday, June 22, describing them as entirely false and misleading.

“As it stands, all positions in PRP have been filled. Primary elections are over, and every political party has concluded its primaries,” he said.

Maigari also questioned the credibility of the source of the allegation, dismissing the claims as baseless.

“The man who raised these allegations is not even our member. It is laughable at this time, when primaries are over, someone is talking about primaries or nomination forms,” he said.

He further stated that the so-called North-West Stakeholders Forum is not recognised within the party structure and has no official standing.

According to him, there is no record showing that Kwankwaso or his representatives purchased any nomination forms from the party.

He added that the timing of the claims was suspicious, given that the PRP had already concluded its internal electoral processes for the upcoming elections.

Maigari urged the public to disregard what he described as unfounded rumours and to rely only on official communications from the party.
