Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, says her parents are now working together to secure the release of her brother, Sammy West, who is still in detention.
Her mother, Rita Daniels, has spoken out repeatedly since the crisis involving Regina and Senator Ned Nwoko began. Her father, Jude Ojeogwu, stayed away from public conversation until now.
The mother of two confirmed in a Facebook post on Thursday, the 6th of November, 2025, that both parents, who went their separate ways years ago, have reunited with “no negative ulterior motive other than their daughter’s happiness”.
She also revealed that Sammy remains in custody despite efforts to free him.

According to her, “Sammy’s detainment is taking way too long but we will get him out even if I have to march there myself and create a storm! Since they want me”.
She described her father as a lawyer and “one of the biggest back in the day but Nigeria happened”.
Regina added that her mother is equally strong, saying, “I’ll tell you more about my father later and my mother? She’s a powerhouse. They would do anything for their children. I love you mom and dad! This is all I actually ever wanted”.
