Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has urged Nigerian youth to remain hardworking, upright, and steadfast in their Christian faith, describing these values as essential for true personal and national growth.
She made the call at the State House in Abuja while redeeming a promise to the Youth Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), where she presented them with seven brand-new 14-seater hybrid buses.
The donation, made through the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) which she chairs, coincided with the second anniversary of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
“You can’t love without giving,” the First Lady said.
“So anytime we profess love to people, we should be able to back it up with giving. As you have chosen Christ, you should be good followers of Christ indeed, always embrace truth and do what is right and pleasing before God.”
Senator Tinubu emphasized the spiritual significance of the donation, stating that the celebration of the administration’s two-year milestone was best marked by supporting those who are actively serving God.
“We believe today God wants us to celebrate. We would just be thanking God privately for sustaining President Tinubu and all his team, but we also wanted to give back. So on behalf of RHI, and due to our love for you as our children, because we believe you’ll all be achievers in this nation, we hand over these vehicles to you,” she said.

Each bus is designated for YOWICAN chapters in Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones and the group’s national secretariat.
Receiving the buses, YOWICAN National Chairman Michael Enwere Belosochukwu expressed gratitude on behalf of Christian youth nationwide, saying the gesture would significantly enhance their evangelism efforts.
“These buses you donated to our organisation would help to ameliorate the work and operations of our organisation’s activities. On behalf of YOWICAN nationwide, and the entire youth, we want to say a big thank you to our mother for her generosity and kind heart,” he said.
Also present at the ceremony were Hajia Nana Shettima, wife of the Vice President and National Vice Chairman of RHI; Barr. Chioma Uzodimma, wife of the Imo State Governor and National Secretary of RHI; as well as Bishop S.T.V. Adegbite, Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission, among others.
The event marks yet another intervention by the Renewed Hope Initiative in youth development and faith-based outreach, as the First Lady continues to push for a value-driven, purpose-oriented generation of Nigerian youth.
