The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed a total of ₦1.681 trillion to the Federal Government, 36 states, and 774 local government councils as revenue for the month of April 2025.

This reflects a 6.5% increase (₦110 billion) compared to the ₦1.578 trillion shared in March.

This was disclosed in a statement on Friday by Bawa Mokwa, Director of Press and Public Relations at the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation.

According to Mokwa, the revenue was distributed during FAAC’s monthly meeting held in May 2025 in Abuja. The allocation comprised revenues from statutory sources, VAT, the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), and exchange rate gains.

“The total distributable revenue of ₦1.681tn comprised ₦962.88bn from statutory revenue, ₦598.08bn from VAT, ₦38.86bn from EMTL, and ₦81.41bn from exchange difference,” the statement noted.
