Rivers Judicial Inquiry Calls 109 Witnesses in Arson, Violence Probe

The Rivers State Judicial Commission of Inquiry has summoned a total of 109 witnesses to provide testimonies and present evidence as part of an ongoing investigation into recent incidents of arson, violence, and destruction of property in several Local Government Council Headquarters.

This commission, chaired by Hon. Justice I. R. Minakiri, was appointed by Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSR, in response to the tragic events in the state on October 7, 2024, when properties were destroyed, and lives disrupted.

The commission will convene at the Rivers State High Court Complex in Port Harcourt, specifically at Hon. Justice I. R. Minakiri’s Court, Block C, Court 14, at 9:00 a.m.

Witnesses are expected to bring forward any relevant documents and materials to support their testimonies.
