The Rivers State Police Command has moved to debunk viral reports circulating on social media alleging an attack by Fulani herdsmen in the state, claiming they were repelled by Ijaw youths.
In a press release statement signed by SP Grace Iringe-Koko, ANIPR, Police Public Relations Officer, Rivers State Police Command on Wednesday, the Police Command described the claims as “entirely false, misleading, and designed to incite panic among the public.”

The Police Command reassured residents that it continues to work in synergy with other security agencies to protect lives and property, prevent crime, and maintain peace and order across Rivers State.
