About 30 humanoid robots took an unusual turn as they marched through the streets of Warsaw, Poland, on Monday, calling for stronger regulation of artificial intelligence and robotisation.
The robots waved flags, appeared to chant slogans and moved in circles during the demonstration held outside the Polish digital affairs ministry.
The protest was organised by Democratism, an initiative focused on encouraging public debate about the growing impact of artificial intelligence and robotics on employment and the labour market.
Organisers said the unusual demonstration was intended to highlight how rapidly AI-powered technology is moving from concept to reality and its potential consequences for workers.
One of the participating humanoid robots, Agibot A3, told AFP that the presence of the machines was meant to demonstrate that the technology is no longer something confined to laboratories or science fiction.

“The robots present here are meant to show that this technology is already a reality,” the AI-powered humanoid said.
The demonstration comes amid growing global discussions about how governments should regulate artificial intelligence, particularly as increasingly sophisticated machines and AI systems become capable of performing tasks traditionally handled by humans.
By putting robots themselves at the centre of the protest, organisers sought to draw public attention to the opportunities and challenges that could emerge as AI and automation become more deeply integrated into everyday life and the workplace.
