Christian Association of Nigeria, Ogun State chapter, has felicitated the Muslim faithful on this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
CAN State Chairman, Bishop Tunde Akin-Akinsanya, stated this in his good will message in a statement made available on Wednesday to newsmen by his Chief Press Secretary, Rev. Tolulope Taiwo, in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Akin-Akinsanya, who called for religious tolerance between the Muslims and Christians, urged the two faithfuls to emulate the sacrificial life of prophet Ibrahim, who was willing to sacrifice his son to Allah before the divine provision of a ram as replacement
He tasked residents of the state to exhibit a sacrificial spirit and patriotism now than before so as to overcome numerous challenges bedevilling the nation
The CAN chairman, therefore, called for more friendly relationship between the Christians and the Muslims,.while charging government at all levels to endeavour to meet the yearnings and aspirations of the people through good governance.
