Sanwo-Olu Urges Investors to Tap Into Lagos’ Expanding Business Opportunities

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has called on local and international investors to take advantage of the growing business opportunities in the state, citing Lagos’ improved investment climate and its new position as Nigeria’s top-performing state in ease of doing business.

Sanwo-Olu made the appeal during the inauguration of TY Logistics Park, FZE, a state-of-the-art warehousing and trade complex developed by TY Holdings and situated in Alaro City within the Lekki Free Zone.

The event was announced in a post on the Lagos State Government’s X account on Tuesday.

Describing the 29,000-square-metre facility as a major boost to Nigeria’s logistics and supply chain infrastructure, the governor said the project strengthens Lagos’ appeal as a preferred destination for enterprise, innovation and international commerce.

“Lagos recently clinched the top position in Nigeria’s latest Subnational Ease of Doing Business report released by the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC), scoring 85.6 per cent,” Sanwo-Olu noted.
“The new ranking reflects Lagos’ consistent reforms, infrastructure upgrades and deliberate policies designed to make the state the most attractive market for enterprise and innovation.”

Sanwo-Olu, who inaugurated the facility alongside Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, commended TY Holdings for its continued confidence in Lagos, describing the development as a landmark contribution to the state’s evolving economic story.

He added that projects like the TY Logistics Park reinforce Alaro City’s emergence as a major industrial hub in sub-Saharan Africa and align with the state’s long-term agenda to modernise logistics, boost foreign investment and sustain economic growth.

The governor also outlined ongoing efforts to ease movement and trade within the rapidly developing Lekki corridor.

These include a dedicated road project that will connect Lekki Port, Dangote Refinery and Alaro City, aimed at decongesting the Lekki-Epe Expressway.

He further revealed that Lagos is constructing what is set to become the largest food logistics hub in West Africa.

In his remarks, Governor Kefas praised the initiative and highlighted Taraba State’s involvement, noting that the project will enhance inter-state economic integration, particularly in the movement of agricultural products from Taraba to Lagos for processing and distribution.
