Supreme Court on Friday declared illegal, Governor Seyi Makinde’s dissolution of Oyo State local government councils.
The apex court also described as unlawful, the governor’s replacement of the council chairman with caretaker committees.
All local government chairmen in Oyo State were in 2019 sacked and replaced with caretaker chairmen by Governor Makinde.
But the apex on Friday described the action as illegal.
