Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has once again submitted a petition to the Senate, alleging that Senate President Godswill Akpabio sexually harassed her.
This follows the dismissal of her initial petition against Akpabio on Wednesday due to procedural irregularities. This time, she included signatures from her constituents to support the claim.
During Thursday, March 6, plenary session, senators inquired whether the case was already in court. Akpoti-Uduaghan clarified that no legal proceedings were currently underway.
Following standard procedure, she was directed to file the petition officially, after which it was assigned to the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Code of Conduct for review.
