Vice President Kashim Shettima visited Aisha Buhari, widow of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, in London.
Shettima, who is heading a federal delegation to repatriate the former President’s body, also held a private meeting with Buhari’s children.
Photos of the visit, now circulating online, show the Vice President with the family in a solemn atmosphere.
Buhari had previously ruled Nigeria both as a military leader and as a civilian President.
While in office, Buhari took several medical trips abroad, totaling at least 225 days.

One of his longest absences began in May 2017, when he stayed in London for 104 days.
The delegation, led by Shettima, is scheduled to return to Nigeria on Tuesday, the 15th of July, 2025, with Buhari’s remains.
He will be buried that same day in his hometown, Daura, located in Katsina State.
