Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola Badmus, popularly known as Portable has lambasted social media critic Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM) for demanding his participation in a diss track targeting gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.

VDM had earlier revealed his intention to release a track called ‘Body of Christ’ in response to the N1.125 billion defamation lawsuit filed against him by Chinwo.

The lawsuit was initiated when VDM alleged that Chinwo had misappropriated funds generated from her performances, failing to share them with her previous record label.

Portable, in a video shared on his Instagram account on Saturday, expressed dissatisfaction with VDM’s request, cautioning him to refrain from mentioning his name.

He accused VDM of damaging the reputations of individuals, jeopardising their businesses, and even straining their marriages.

Portable said, “You are already overstepping your boundaries, VDM, or whatever you are called, you are overstepping. Stop talking about me, do not mention my name.

“Are you insane? You defame people, you are among those people who defame celebrities online.

“You defame rich people. You defame people who carry grace and glory, defame people’s business and marriages. You just come from nowhere.

“You said that we should sing, do you have N100 million in your account to feature me?”
