Head coach of Nigeria’s Super Falcons, Justine Madugu, has assured fans that the team is fully prepared for their high-stakes semi-final clash with rivals Banyana Banyana of South Africa at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The nine-time African champions are eyeing a return to the WAFCON final, and their momentum is strong after a dominant 5-0 victory over Zambia’s Copper Queens in the quarter-finals.
Speaking during a pre-match press conference, Madugu expressed confidence in his squad’s form and focus ahead of Tuesday’s encounter in Casablanca.
“Our preparations have gone very well. The players are committed, determined, and in great shape. They understand the significance of this match and are ready to deliver,” Madugu said.

After taking a short break, the Super Falcons resumed training on Sunday with a full session focused on tactics and recovery.
