The Super Falcons have nearly completed their squad assembly in Casablanca, Morocco, with only six invited players still expected in camp as preparations continue for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The Nigeria Football Federation disclosed that 19 of the 25 invited players had reported to camp by Sunday ahead of Nigeria’s opening Group B fixture against Malawi on July 28.
Head coach Justine Madugu supervised a training session at the La Noria Club, where 15 players took part as the team intensified preparations for the continental tournament.
The squad received another boost on Sunday with the arrival of BK Hacken teammates Halimatu Ayinde and Joy Omewa in Casablanca.

Pachuca Tuzas defender Osinachi Ohale and forward Chinwendu Ihezuo were also on their way to join the team in Morocco.
Among those already in camp are captain Rasheedat Ajibade, first-choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, defenders Shukurat Oladipo, Rofiat Imuran, Glory Ogbonna, Oluwatosin Demehin, Sikiratu Isah and Christy Ucheibe, midfielders Toni Payne and Jennifer Echegini, as well as forwards Asisat Oshoala, Francisca Ordega and Omorinsola Babajide. Goalkeepers Comfort Erhabor and Fatima Oloko have also linked up with the squad.
The remaining players expected to complete the roster are defender Michelle Alozie, midfielder Deborah Abiodun, and forwards Gift Monday, Esther Okoronkwo, Folashade Ijamilusi and Uchenna Kanu.
With most of the invited players now available, the nine-time African champions have stepped up preparations as they aim to begin the defence of their WAFCON crown with a positive result against Malawi before facing the other teams in Group B.
